Taxpeyers repay $10 million 327

A North Carolina appeals court will hear a suit dismissed last year by a Wake County Superior Court judge attempting to repay taxpayers about $10 million spent to move a culinary and hospitality school to Charlotte. While it was originally ruled that the money “served a legitimate public purpose of education and economic development,” the North Carolina Institute for Constitutional Law claims the “state constitution prohibits awarding special benefits to people or companies lawmakers pick out.”   San Diego personal injury attorney News & Observer, News & Observer  01/10/2011
