Investment management firm Pimco has agreed to a $92 million settlement over accusations that it “manipulated the U.S. bond market in 2005.” Investors complained in their class-action suit that Pimco had “created an ‘artificial scarcity’ in 10-year treasury notes.” The Los Angeles Times reported that plaintiffs had been betting short on futures contracts tied to those treasury notes.  San Diego personal injury attorney Staff Report, United Press International  12/31/2010
