A prisoners-rights organization has filed a lawsuit against the state of California in an effort to restore voting rights to felons sent to county jails. San-Diego-Auto-Accident-lawyer Last year, the state ordered non-violent felons to be relocated to county jails in an effort to reduce the population of state prisons. The lawsuit contends that while state law prohibits prison inmates from voting, the law does not apply to inmates in county jails or on probation.
