The city of Oakland has agreed to a $300,000 settlement in a lawsuit claiming that a local police officer planted a gun on a parolee, sending him to jail for almost two years. According to the lawsuit, the plaintiff was arrested while at a funeral and charged with numerous weapons charges, although the gun found belonged to someone else. “This was an important case for holding the police officers accountable for their misconduct,” the plaintiff’s lawyer told the San Francisco Chronicle.  San Diego personal injury attorney Henry K.
