Pipe line explosion causes 20 year-old death 258

The family of a California girl has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Pacific Gas & Electric Co. (PG&E) over a gas pipeline explosion that resulted in the 20-year-old’s death. The lawsuit claims the company was aware of defects in the pipeline before the explosion but ignored the safety issue. “PG&E failed to maintain or properly inspect the pipe or install automatic or remote shutoff valves,” the suit claims.
