Toyota causes acceleration defect 3

These san diego personal injury attorney cases are prevalent throughout the state and the country  A California woman has filed a lawsuit against Toyota alleging a sudden acceleration defect contributed to a 2008 freeway crash she was involved in. The woman’s Lexus suddenly sped up to 80 mph and crashed on an offramp, killing a passenger in the back seat. The woman was initially charged with felony vehicular manslaughter, but the charges were dismissed. The lawsuit, like dozens of others filed against Toyota, contends that a problem with the car’s computer throttle system caused it to accelerate on its own.  San Diego Personal Injury Attorney Stuart Pfeifer, LA Times  12/03/2010
