Police raid gay bar without a warrant 23

False Imprisonment, False Arrest and Emotional Distress are all elements of Personal Injury Law.

The city of Atlanta has agreed to a $1 million settlement in a lawsuit filed by a local gay bar over a botched police raid in 2009. The suit claimed that during the 2009 police raid, officers illegally detained patrons at the bar and did not present a search warrant upon entering. Police claimed they executed the raid due to rumors that men were having sex in the club while others watched, but no arrests were made during the raid.  San Diego Personal Injury Attorney Ernie Suggs , Atlanta Journal-Constitution  12/06/2010
