Chewing tobacco causes death to a 43 year old 17

Class Action lawsuits are also sometimes actually Personal Injury cases, as is the case here.

A chewing tobacco manufacturer has agreed to a $5 million settlement with the family of a man who died from cancer, allegedly caused by the product. The man began chewing tobacco at age 13 and died of tongue cancer at age 43. The lawsuit and settlement is the first of its kind related to chewing tobacco.  San Diego Personal Injury Attorney Edmund H. Mahony, The Hartford Courant  12/07/2010
