Police fatally shot man behind the wheel 316

Premises Liability is another area of San Diego Personal Injury Law.

The family of a former Pace University football player is suing the Town of Mount Pleasant and Village of Pleasantville for $120 million, claiming local police “were negligent and lacked proper training before they fatally shot Henry behind the wheel of his car.” The shooting occurred outside of a bar in New York state, and according to the suit, the family’s son had slowed down his car when an officer jumped onto the hood and shot him just feet away. The required notice of claim also states that after the shooting, officers handcuffed Henry and delayed medical care.  San Diego personal injury attorney John M. Guilfoil, Boston Globe  01/12/2011
